* REGISTER YOUR INTEREST FOR THS NEW SESSION - HOPE TO LAUNCH IN SUMMER TERM 2025 *School years 5-8ORGANISATION:- Children coming in to school for the session and being dropped off by their parents will be collected by our coach at the front of school at 6.05pm. Terrington pupils staying for school tea will be met by your coach in school tea and collected from there.EXTERNAL DROP-OFF:If you are external to Terrington or are a Terrington parent/guardian returning a pupil to school for the netball, please park at the front of school on the driveway and the coaching team will collect your children from you at the front of school. Please keep your children with you at all times until the coach makes themselves known to you.- If you have opted to watch the session (1 adult per child/week), you may join your child at the front of school and walk with the coaching team to the school sports hall.COLLECTION:Please collect your children from the front of school at 7.20pm unless a nominated adult has stayed to watch the session. In this event, it is possible for the child to be signed out from the school sports hall. Boarders will be returned to the boarding house at this time by our coaching team.
Important Information For Spectators:For health and safety, safeguarding, and fire risk reasons, parents/guardians who elect to watch their children play netball must remain in the school sports hall at all times. Movement around the school premises is strictly prohibited to ensure the safety of all participants and compliance with school policies. Thank you for your cooperation.Unfortunately, due to space restrictions in the hall, we are only able to grant one spectator access per child/week and all spectators must let us know at the time of booking the names and dates of any adults who may attend.- Spectators are kindly asked to remain seated on the benches against the wall near the entrance door to the hall to avoid accident or injury to players.

Overview:
Our inclusive netball sessions, available to everyone are designed provide supplementary practice to school P.E. and games sessions, ensuring players are up to speed and ready to shine during the short netball season.Designed to build confidence, versatility, and game performance, these professionally led sessions focus on developing key skills and a strong understanding of the game.
What can my child expect from the sessions?
Years 3&4:
* Fundamental Skills: Master the basics of netball, including passing, shooting, footwork, and catching.* Position Confidence: Learn to play each position effectively and find your "home" on the netball court.* Game Awareness: Develop spatial awareness and learn to anticipate play, understanding where to move and when.* Off-the-Ball Movement: Practice moving into space to support teammates and maintain game flow.* Communication: Build confidence in calling for the ball and working as part of a team.* Footwork Mastery: Focus on pivots, directional changes, and balance to move smoothly and stay within the rules.* Shooting Accuracy: Practice shooting technique and develop confidence in scoring goals.* Fun Fitness: Improve agility, coordination, and stamina through enjoyable activities that enhance athletic performance.
Years 5-8:
* Advanced Skills: Refine key techniques such as positional play, tactical awareness, and precision passing.* Versatility: Gain confidence playing multiple positions, adapting to the team’s needs during matches.* Decision-Making Under Pressure: Learn to make quick and effective choices in high-pressure situations.* Tactical Patterns: Understand and practice offensive and defensive strategies to improve teamwork and game control.* Defensive Techniques: Master marking, intercepting, and positioning to challenge attackers effectively.* Transition Play: Focus on smooth transitions between attack and defense, ensuring the team stays coordinated.* Game Awareness: Hone the ability to scan the court, anticipate opposition moves, and position yourself strategically.* Strength and Stamina: Engage in exercises to build resilience, improve fitness, and prevent injuries.* Confidence and Resilience: Build mental toughness, learn from mistakes, and grow into a dependable team player.
PROGRAM FEES:
Each club session is priced at £7 per child.Payment is payable on a PAYG basis.Once you express interest in our club, you will be added to a parents WhatsApp group, where an attendance poll is placed weekly ahead of the next session. Payment is kindly requested at the time of registering your interest on this poll. Thank you.
